Information for WHS’s Walkout
If you haven’t already heard, there will be a walkout on March 1st. This is to show our collective discontent for the budget cuts on public education. The budget cuts have been going on for a long time, and they need to stop. So, rally up all of your friends. We’re going to make a scene.

Who? All students at WHS, for all students and staff at WHS.
What? A walkout – a symbolic protest against budget cuts.
When? MARCH 1, after lunch. Attend 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th period as you would regularly. During the lunch period, eat up and prepare for the walkout. When the bell rings, do not go to your fifth period.
Where? At the bell, we’ll meet at the basketball courts for a brief rally. We will then take a mile walk to the JUHSD district office.
How? We will march in pairs. Please make posters (these can easily say “Stop Budget Cuts” or something like that) and try to wear school colors! (Preferably green.) If you can, video this event and put it online!
